NEW YORK, June 20 (UPI) -- Songwriter, producer and TV personality Kara DioGuardi is to make her Broadway debut in "Chicago," the stage musical's producers confirmed Monday.

DioGuardi is best known for serving as a judge on the competition series "American Idol" and "Platinum Hit."

She is to play Roxie Hart in "Chicago" from Sept. 5 through Oct. 30, the show's producers said.
