FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 15 (UPI) -- Two news organizations are suing city officials in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for prohibiting photography near the "Rock of Ages" movie set.

The Miami Herald said SouthFloridaGayNews.com and the Society of Professional Journalists are claiming the city violated their First Amendment rights by preventing them from taking photos where the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway musical is being shot.

"The film, its creation in South Florida, the presence of its celebrity cast in the area are newsworthy events which the local media is entitled to report on," the Herald quoted the lawsuit as saying.

The film's cast includes Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
