LAS VEGAS, June 12 (UPI) -- Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon were among the 13,000 fans that packed Paul McCartney's Friday night concert at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The widow and son of late Beatle John Lennon were in the front row of the MGM's Garden Arena for the show, which marked the fifth anniversary of the opening of "Love," the casino's musical based on music penned by the team of Lennon and McCartney.

Also on hand were George Harrison's widow, Olivia, and the son of Beatles producer George Martin. Ringo Starr was on tour in Europe.

The Las Vegas Sun said a highlight of the show was McCartney's rendition of "Here Today," a tune he wrote shortly after Lennon was shot and killed in 1980.

"This was written after my dear friend John passed away," McCartney told the audience. "It's a conversation we never had."

The newspaper said in its review Ono appeared to enjoy the song and joined the rest of the crowd in standing and singing Lennon's anthem "Give Peace a Chance."
