NEW YORK, June 7 (UPI) -- The stage musical "Million Dollar Quartet" is set to move from Broadway's Nederlander Theatre to the off-Broadway venue New World Stages, its producers said.

The show is to wrap up its Broadway run Sunday after 489 regular performances and 34 preview performances. It will reopen at its new home next month.

Exact dates and ticketing information for the New World Stages run of "Million Dollar Quartet" will be announced shortly, the musical's producers said in a news release Tuesday.

"On Dec. 4, 1956, an auspicious twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley together," said a synopsis of the show. "The place was Sun Records' storefront studio in Memphis. The man who made it happen was Sam Phillips, the 'Father of Rock and Roll,' who discovered them all. The four young musicians united for the only time in their careers for an impromptu recording that has come to be known as one of the greatest rock jam sessions of all time."
