Teen solves centuries-old math problem

TAMPA, Fla., May 29 (UPI) -- The Tampa Bay Rays had to issue a public apology Saturday night after singer Avril Lavigne fired off some choice words during a post-game concert.
The unsportsmanlike outburst at Tropicana Field began with a dead microphone that sparked a cascade event that ended with public-address announcer Rusty Kath apologizing to what was left of the crowd, the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times said Sunday.
"That's not what the Tampa Bay Rays are about," Kath said.
Lavigne reportedly huffed that technical difficulties often occur at stadium concerts, but that didn't stop spectators from booing her like an umpire.
