LAS VEGAS, May 10 (UPI) -- Aging British rocker Rod Stewart has confirmed he will begin his two-year Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace this August.

He last performed eight sold-out concerts at the venue in November.

Stewart, 66, is to kick off the first run of 18 concerts Aug. 24; that series of concerts is to wrap up Sept. 11. A second leg of his residency is scheduled for Nov. 3-20.

"'Rod Stewart: The Hits' will be a concert celebration featuring a set list of the rock and R&B favorites which have defined Stewart's unparalleled 5-decade-long career," the hotel and casino said in a news release Tuesday. "The spectacular, state-of-the-art production, presented by AEG Live, will be a culmination of Stewart's seminal hits like 'Maggie May,' 'You Wear it Well,' 'Hot Legs,' 'You're in My Heart' and 'Some Guys Have All the Luck' mixed with a few surprise rarities and sizzling covers."
