LOS ANGELES, May 2 (UPI) -- Musician and actor Rick Springfield was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk in Los Angeles, law-enforcement sources told TMZ.

Police pulled over the 61-year-old "Jessie's Girl" singer for a traffic violation Sunday night and allegedly noticed the smell of alcohol when they approached Springfield in his vehicle.

The recording artist failed several field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence. He was later released on $5,000 bail, TMZ said.
