LOS ANGELES, April 29 (UPI) -- U.S. rock band Bon Jovi says it will continue its concert tour even though guitarist Richie Sambora recently entered rehab.

"Our support for Richie is absolute," the group said in a statement on its Web site Thursday. "He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi. Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour."

The 51-year-old guitarist has long battled addictions to drugs and alcohol.

"Richie recently has been drinking too much, and wants to get his life together," a source told RadarOnline.com this week.
