LONDON, April 17 (UPI) -- A British newspaper said Sunday that rock legend Van Morrison was not entirely truthful when he said he didn't know the woman claiming to have had his baby.
The Mail said it had gone over a collection of e-mails used in a recent court case that revealed reputed mom GiGi Lee was made a director of 14 companies controlled by Morrison shortly before the birth of the child.
In addition, Lee and the boy, who was named after Morrison, joined him in California during his 2010 tour.
The Mail said that rather than acknowledging his relationship with Lee, the married Morrison was having his lawyers seek court orders barring the newspaper from digging into the story.
Morrison's camp also issued a public denial he even knew Lee; however, his spokesman testified in court that he had been misled.
