LOS ANGELES, March 29 (UPI) -- Pop stars Britney Spears and Enrique Iglesias say they are planning a joint North American concert tour this summer.

The announcement was made Tuesday, the official release day of Spears's seventh studio album, "Femme Fatale."

The singers' Live Nation-produced tour is scheduled to begin June 17 in Sacramento, Calif. It will include 26 dates in some of the top arenas of the United States and Canada, Live Nation said. The last show is scheduled for Aug. 13 in Toronto, Ontario.

Spears last toured in 2009. Iglesias is now in the midst of a European concert tour to support his latest CD, "Euphoria."
