AUSTIN, Texas, March 19 (UPI) -- Four music fans were injured early Saturday by a falling camera boom at Austin's South by Southwest festival, authorities said.

The equipment dropped into the crowd at Stubb's nightclub just after 1 a.m., Austin-Travis County EMS spokesman Warren Hassinger told the Austin American-Statesman.

The victims were taken by ambulance to University Medical Center Brackenridge, but their injuries were not life-threatening, he said.

The accident happened just before the English band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, the night's final act, was to go on stage. OMD played an abbreviated set dedicated to those injured.
