Cooper, Diamond inducted into Rock Hall

NEW YORK, March 15 (UPI) -- Alice Cooper, Dr. John, Neil Diamond, Tom Waits and Darlene Love have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at a ceremony in New York.

Also honored at Monday night's gala at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel were pianist/songwriter Leon Russell and Jac Holzman and Art Rupe, the founders of Elektra Records and Specialty Records, respectively.

The induction ceremony is to air Sunday night on the cable TV network Fuse.
