SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 12 (UPI) -- Punk rockers New York Dolls are set to release their fifth full-length album, "Dancing Backward in High Heels," 429 Records announced.

Original band members David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain recorded the album in Newcastle, England. It was produced by Louis XIV's Jason Hill and is to go on sale Tuesday.

The band will celebrate the CD's release with a Best Buy in-store record signing Tuesday at the franchise's Union Square, New York location, and two shows at Manhattan's Bowery Ballroom March 16-17.

The Dolls have signed up for a U.S. concert tour this summer, alongside Motley Crue and Poison. The tour is to begin in Dallas June 7, 429 Records said Friday.
