NASHVILLE, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- A documentary about the making of "The Music Inside," a tribute album honoring late music great Waylon Jennings, is to air on Great American Country.

"Breaking the Myth: Waylon Jennings" is to premiere Saturday on GAC.

"The album and TV special celebrate Waylon's enduring musical and cultural legacy and chronicles his role in founding country music's outlaw movement," the cable network said in a news release this week.

The documentary features appearances by Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams, Jr., Dierks Bentley, Alabama, John Hiatt, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Pat Green, Patti Griffin and Sunny Sweeney.

Jennings' wife, Jessi, and son, Shooter, also share personal memories throughout the special, GAC said.

Jennings died in 2002 of complications from diabetes. He was 64.
