NEW YORK, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame says Rob Zombie will induct honoree Alice Cooper at its upcoming ceremony in New York.

Neil Diamond also will be inducted by Paul Simon; Dr. John will be inducted by John Legend; Darlene Love will be inducted by Bette Midler; Tom Waits will be inducted by Neil Young; Jac Holzman will be inducted by John Densmore; Art Rupe will be inducted by Lloyd Price and Leon Russell will be inducted by Elton John, organizers announced Tuesday.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is to take place at Manhattan's Waldorf-Astoria March 14. It will be televised on Fuse March 20.

In addition to being honored at the ceremony, each artist who is inducted is commemorated at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, which serves as a monument to rock and roll's impact. These inductees will be honored -- along with the previous year's inductees and hundreds of other artists -- with an exhibit and film chronicling the story of modern music, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame said.

Topics: Alice Cooper, Bette Midler, John Legend, Leon Russell, Lloyd Price, Neil Diamond, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Tom Waits
