MIAMI, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- LeBron James hosted a bevy of celebrities and his mom at a Miami nightclub this week to mark his 26th birthday, witnesses at the bash reported.

People magazine said Saturday the basketball star's guest list included hip-hop stars Drake, Timbaland and Ne-Yo as well as film director Spike Lee, Kourtney Kardashian and Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade.

The gala included dinner at STK and late-night dancing at the adjacent Coco Deville nightclub. James and Drake took a turn in the DJ booth where Lil Wayne's new track "6 Foot 7 Foot" was played to amp up the crowd further, People said.
