Teen solves centuries-old math problem


NEW YORK, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- BET Networks says it plans to honor Cicely Tyson, Jamie Foxx, Iman, Herbie Hancock, Linda Johnson Rice and Lonnie Bunch at an upcoming ceremony in Washington.
The event is to air during Black History Month on BET Feb. 21, with actress Gabrielle Union serving as host for the third year.
The BET Honors recognizes lifetime contributions and exceptional service to African-American culture in music, media, film, service and education, the network said.
Last year's show honored Whitney Houston, Queen Latifah, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Ruth Simmons and Keith Black. It featured performances by Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, India.Arie, Patti LaBelle and Stevie Wonder.
