DioGuardi writing 'Idol' memoir

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Songwriter Kara DioGuardi is writing a book about her two seasons as a judge on TV's "American Idol," said It Books, a division of HarperCollins.

TVGuide.com said the memoir will be called "A Helluva High Note: Surviving Life, Love, and 'American Idol.'"

The entertainment news Web site did not say when the book is expected to be published.

After leaving "Idol," DioGuardi was hired as a judge for Bravo's singing competition show, "Going Platinum," which is set to premiere next year.
