NEW YORK, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has dropped Madonna as a model for its spring 2011 campaign in favor of Victoria's Secret models.

The Michigan-born pop star had fronted the Italian brand's sexy campaigns for two seasons.

Victoria's Secret models Izabel Goulart, Alessandra Ambrosio, Maryna Linchuk and Isabeli Fontana shot the spring 2011 ad campaign with photographer Steven Klein on Thursday, New York magazine reported. Three of them had walked the Victoria's Secret runway just the night before.

D&G's spring/summer 2010 campaign featured black and white images of Madonna playing a fantasy housewife -- making dinner, eating pasta and rinsing plates while wearing glamorous dresses. The photos reportedly were inspired by Italian neo-realist films.

"To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true," designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana told Vanity Fair's Italian edition in December 2009.
