Wiz Khalifa faces pot charges in N.C.

GREENVILLE, N.C., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa posted bond and was released from a North Carolina jail Tuesday after he was arrested on marijuana charges, officials said.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said the rapper spent several hours in the Pitt County Detention Center in Greenville after he and several other people were arrested following his concert Monday at East Carolina University.

After leaving jail, the "Black and Yellow" singer, who is based in Pittsburgh, thanked his fans via Twitter for their support, the newspaper said.
