NEW YORK, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Lady Antebellum and Kelly Clarkson are lined up to sing the U.S. national anthem at the beginning of the second and third games of the World Series.

The Major League Baseball organization made the announcement Wednesday, the same day John Legend sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" to open Game 1. Tony Bennett was to sing "God Bless America" during the seventh inning.

The World Series began at AT&T Park between the San Francisco Giants and the Texas Rangers.

Lady Antebellum is to sing the national anthem at the beginning of Thursday's game, while Clarkson will perform at Game 3 on Saturday.
