Alicia Keys gives birth to a son

NEW YORK, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Alicia Keys's publicist says the singer has given birth to a son in New York.

The child is the first for Keys and her husband Kasseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean. Dean also has three other children from previous relationships.

Keys's representative told E! News baby Egypt Daoud Dean was born Thursday.

No other details were immediately available.
