LONDON, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- British rocker Pete Doherty is free on bail after his arrest on cocaine possession charges following the death of filmmaker Robyn Whitehead, authorities said.
The Guardian said the Libertines and Babyshambles singer, who has a history of drug abuse and arrests, is due back in court next month. Doherty was arrested Wednesday as an inquiry is being conducted into Whitehead's death from a drug overdose in January.
Whitehead had been working on "Road to Albion," a documentary about Doherty, Babyshambles and the Libertines, when she died.
