Stars line up to perform at Hip Hop Awards

NEW YORK, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Rick Ross, Waka Flocka Flame, Gucci Mane and Swizz Beatz have been booked to perform at next month's BET Hip Hop Awards 2010 in Atlanta, organizers said.

The fifth edition of the event is to take place Oct. 2, and is scheduled to air on BET Oct. 12.

Oscar-winning actress, comedian and BET late-night host Mo'Nique and R&B sensation Keri Hilson are confirmed presenters for the show, organizers said.

Special appearances are planned by rap star Nicki Minaj, rapper and actor Common, Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson, actor and comedian Martin Lawrence and rapper Missy Elliot.

Comedian Mike Epps is to serve as host of the prize presentation at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta where the rap trio Salt-n-Pepa are to be honored as this year's "I Am Hip Hop Awards Icons."
