LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- John Mayer's publicist says the U.S. pop star has closed his Twitter online messaging account so he can concentrate on recording a new album.
A representative for the outspoken singer, who had more than 3.7 million followers on Twitter, told UsMagazine.com Mayer will, however, continue to communicate with fans in the future via his blog.
Other celebrities who have closed their Twitter accounts at one time or another are Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and LeAnn Rimes, UsMagazine.com noted.
