T.I., wife arrested on drug charge

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were arrested in Los Angeles on a drug-possession charge, an arrest report indicated.

The report said they were taken into custody Wednesday after Los Angles County sheriff's deputies "smelled a strong odor of marijuana" during a traffic stop, MTV.com reported Thursday.

In a subsequent search, T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr., and his wife were "found to be in possession of a controlled substance," the arrest report said. The illicit substance was not revealed.

Harris and Cottle each posted $10,000 bond and were released, sheriff's deputies said.

P. Diddy accused of age discrimination

NEW YORK, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- A 51-year-old music executive at Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' Bad Boy Records in New York sued Combs for $12 million, alleging age discrimination, her lawsuit said.

Francesca Spero, known as "the Mom" or "Auntie" at Bad Boy Records, said in her lawsuit she had a falling out with Combs after she underwent hip surgery, NBC-New York reported Thursday.

"Francesca Spero opened the door for Combs's career and, now that she's 51, he showed her the door at Bad Boy," her attorney, Laurie Berke-Weiss, said.

In her lawsuit, Spero said she met Combs in 1988 and began working for him a decade later, helping him sign new writers, obtain music clearances for endorsements, implement Bad Boy's $38 million contract with Warner Bros. and produce the "Making the Band" reality show on MTV.

Their partnership soured about two years ago when she had the surgery and he allegedly said, among other things, she had too high a salary for "someone who could no longer keep up with his fast-paced lifestyle," the lawsuit said.

Spero, fired in March, said her replacement was about 10-15 years younger and "lacked the skill-set and experience" Spero brought to the position, the lawsuit said.

NBC-New York said Combs's representative could not be reached for comment.

Fans of the original "90210" marked the event with parties and tributes to the Beverly Hills clique by dressing up as their favorite teen cast members, reports said. Some faithful fans are also forming "watch parties" to view their favorite episodes from the 1990-2000 series (not to be confused with the 2008 "90210" series on the CW ).

"Today, in celebration of 90210 day, let's take a moment to remember that dude who played Dylan, whose name I can't even recall," one Twitter poster wrote of Luke Perry's character.

"Today is 90210," another Twitter post read. "Get your drama on."

Some Twitter posters apparently weren't caught up in the celebratory fervor.

"According to the calendar, today is 09.02.10, or 90210," one said. "You are now less intelligent for knowing this. Cheers."
