NASHVILLE, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Nashville star Miranda Lambert competes against herself in two categories of the first round of nominees announced Tuesday by the Country Music Association.
Nominees were announced in seven categories Tuesday and the remaining five categories will be revealed Wednesday on ABC's "Good Morning America," the CMA said in a news release.
Lambert's songs "The House That Built Me" and "White Liar" are nominated in the Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories. Lambert also is up for Song of the Year for "White Liar," which she co-wrote with Natalie Hemby.
The 44th Annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville Nov. 10 on ABC.
The categories and nominees announced Tuesday were:
New Artist of the Year: Luke Bryan, Easton Corbin, Jerrod Niemann, Chris Young, Zac Brown Band.
Vocal Group of the Year: Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts, The Band Perry, Zac Brown Band.
Vocal Duo of the Year: Brooks & Dunn, Joey + Rory, Montgomery Gentry, Steel Magnolia, Sugarland.
Single of the Year: "A Little More Country Than That" by Easton Corbin, produced by Carson Chamberlain; "Hillbilly Bone" by Blake Shelton featuring Trace Adkins, produced by Scott Hendricks; "Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum, produced by Paul Worley and Lady Antebellum; "The House That Built Me" by Miranda Lambert, produced by Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke; and "White Liar" by Miranda Lambert, Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke.
Song of the Year: "A Little More Country Than That" written by Rory Lee Feek, Don Poythress and Wynn Varble; "Need You Now" written by Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Josh Kear; "The House That Built Me" written by Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin; "Toes" written by Zac Brown, Wyatt Durrette, John Driskell Hopkins and Shawn Mullins; and "White Liar" written by Miranda Lambert and Natalie Hemby.
Music Video of the Year: "Hillbilly Bone," Blake Shelton featuring Trace Adkins, directed by Roman White; "Need You Now," Lady Antebellum, directed by David McClister; "The House That Built Me," Miranda Lambert, directed by Trey Fanjoy; "Water," Brad Paisley, directed by Jim Shea; and "White Liar," Miranda Lambert, directed by Chris Hicky.
