Country stars to help host 'Today'

NEW YORK, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Country music stars Blake Shelton, Martina McBride and John Rich are to be guest co-hosts on the "Today" show in New York, NBC said.

Trisha Yearwood and Josh Turner are also to take turns at the anchor desk alongside "Today" regular Hoda Kotb during the show's fourth hour next week.

Shelton is to kick off the week Monday and McBride will serve as co-host Tuesday, Rich on Wednesday, Yearwood on Thursday and Turner on Friday.
