LAS VEGAS, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- The Wasted Space nightclub located in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is to close its doors before spring 2011, a hotel spokeswoman confirmed.

Acts are booked through October at the 2-year-old venue, which was designed by motocross star Carey Hart and which boasted investors such as musicians Joel and Benji Madden and baseball star Jason Giambi, The Las Vegas Sun reported.

The club is expected to close to make room for a new race and sports gambling space, the Sun said.
