LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Lily Allen's publicist says the British pop singer is pregnant.

"Lily Allen and Sam Cooper are very happy to confirm that Lily is expecting their first child," Allen's representative said in a statement to People.com. "Lily's professional commitments will carry on as normal."

The baby's gender and due date were not reported.

The couple has been dating for about a year.

Cooper is the owner of an upscale building company, People.com said.
