Teen solves centuries-old math problem

NEW YORK, June 30 (UPI) -- U.S. singer and actress Jennifer Hudson says she keeps her late mother close to her heart as she cares for her 11-month-old son, David.
Hudson, a former "American Idol" contender, won an Oscar for her role in the 2006 movie musical "Dreamgirls." Her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were shot to death, allegedly by her brother-in-law, in October 2008.
"Being a mother reminds me of my mom, in so many ways I channel her," the 28-year-old married mother of one said in the VH1 special "Behind The Music: Jennifer Hudson," which aired Monday night.
"I felt like I've seen the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows," she said. "But I would not trade my career for nothing in the world."
