LOS ANGELES, June 11 (UPI) -- Michael Jackson's medical records were improperly accessed at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center days after his death, a source told the Los Angeles Times.

The pop star died of a propofol overdose June 25, 2009. Dr. Conrad Murray is awaiting trial on a charge of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death, for allegedly administering the anesthesia to the 50-year-old singer to help him sleep.

A source told the Times it was unclear whether the privacy breaches involving Jackson were the same as those reported Thursday by state regulators, who fined the hospital $95,000 for privacy violations involving the records of a deceased patient whose name was not reported.
