Underwood wins big at CMT Awards

NASHVILLE, June 10 (UPI) -- Carrie Underwood picked up the prizes for video of the year and performance of the year at the CMT Music Awards show in Nashville Wednesday night.

The video of the year trophy was for her song "Cowboy Casanova," while the performance of the year award was for "Temporary Home" from "Invitation Only: Carrie Underwood."

Keith Urban took home the award for male video of the year for "'Til Summer Comes Around" and Miranda Lambert scored the prize for female video of the year for "White Liar."

Lady Antebellum won the honor for group video of the year for "Need You Now;" Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins earned the gong for collaborative video of the year for "Hillbilly Bone;" and Brooks & Dunn picked up the trophy for duo video of the year for "Indian Summer."

Kid Rock served as host of the ceremony, which featured performances by Lambert, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley and Jamey Johnson.
