NEW YORK, May 21 (UPI) -- "Red," "Sondheim on Sondheim," "A View from the Bridge" and "La Cage aux Folles" won top honors when Drama League Awards were handed out in New York Friday.

The stage shows won the prizes for distinguished production of a play and musical, and revival of a play and musical, respectively.

Alfred Molina won the award for distinguished performance for his work in "Red."

In addition, nine past recipients of the distinguished performance award were honored Friday for their work this season. However, because an individual can only receive the award once in his or her lifetime, they are ineligible for consideration this year.

The honorees were Norbert Leo Butz from "Enron," Kathleen Chalfant from "Family Week," Rosemary Harris from "The Royal Family," Hugh Jackman from "A Steady Rain," John Lithgow from "Mr. and Mrs. Fitch," Bebe Neuwirth from "The Addams Family," Stephen Rea from "Ages of the Moon" and Liev Schreiber from "A View from the Bridge."
