LOS ANGELES, May 12 (UPI) -- Michael Lynche was voted off "American Idol" in Los Angeles Wednesday.
"It's been unbelievable, man, unbelievable," Lynche said upon learning his fate.
"I just sit here right now and I think, 'I wasn't even supposed to be here.' Thank God the judges saved me and I got to spend more time here and be with the people," he added, referring to how the "Idol" judges unanimously agreed to use their once-a-season save to keep him from elimination five weeks ago.
Still battling it out on the singing competition show are Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze and Casey James.
