LOS ANGELES, May 11 (UPI) -- Rocker Roger Waters has added 12 shows to his upcoming North American tour commemorating the 30th anniversary of "The Wall" album, Live Nation said.

Tickets for the tour, which is to begin Sept. 15 in Toronto, went on sale to the public Monday.

"In response to the tremendous demand, Roger Waters has added 12 new shows to his monumental production that features a full band and a newly-mounted state-of-the-art production," Live Nation said in a news release.

Additional shows were added in Toronto, Boston, Montreal, Fort Lauderdale, San Jose, New York's Madison Square Garden and Nassau Coliseum, and the Izod Center in New Jersey.

In addition, tickets for a newly added date in Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center are to go on sale Friday and in Los Angeles, Chicago and Anaheim tickets will go on sale May 17.

"The Wall" has been previously performed live in its entirety by Waters just 31 times including Pink Floyd's 1980-81 tour in support of the album.
