LONDON, March 23 (UPI) -- British pop singer Boy George says members of his 1980s band Culture Club are discussing getting back together next year.

The group is best known for its hits "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" and "Karma Chameleon."

"I think we could do a one-off gig or maybe a small tour," he told BBC 5. "It's our 30th anniversary next year so we may do something. ... It's all about my mood at the time."

Boy George, the former band's 48-year-old lead singer, has battled an addiction to drugs for years and been arrested numerous times for incidents that occurred when he was under the influence.

Culture Club briefly reunited in 1998 and appeared together for a 20th anniversary concert in 2002 in London, the BBC noted.
