SOMERVILLE, Mass., March 16 (UPI) -- Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews say they plan to mark the 25th anniversary of the U.S. non-profit this year.

The theme of the quarter-century milestone musical fundraiser is "Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America," the organizers said.

Farm Aid says its mission is to "keep family farmers on the land and to create a family farm-centered food system in America."

"In 1985, we started out to save the family farmer. Now it looks like the family farmer is going to save us," Nelson said in a statement Tuesday. "As our nation continues to endure an historic economic downturn, America's family farmers offer us much hope."

The "Farm Aid 25" concert location, date, musical lineup and promotional events will be announced at a later date at www.farmaid.org, the musicians said.
