Classical stars gather for fundraiser

LONDON, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- A group of Britain's classical music stars have gathered in London to record a song for Haiti fundraising, organizers say.

Proceeds from the recording of "The Prayer" -- made famous by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion -- will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee, the BBC said.

The session began Saturday at Metropolis Studios, West London, the BBC said.

Artists include "popera" acts All Angels, Bond, Camilla Kerslake, Rhydian and The Priests, and ITV's "Pop Star To Opera Star" winner Darius Campbell and Classical Brit winners Blake.
