Sean "Diddy" Combs, who co-hosted the concert-telethon with fellow music stars Queen Latifah and Pharrell, was among those making pleas for support for Haiti in the wake of the Jan. 12 earthquake.

"Even if you've donated before, donate some more," Combs said. "It's a different week."

A number of celebrities also manned phones to help accept donations during the Miami event, which was aired on BET, MTV, VH1 and Centric.

Billboard.com said working the phones were former boxer Mike Tyson, director Spike Lee, tennis star Serena Williams and singer Gloria Estefan.
