Barkley tapped to be 'SNL' host

NEW YORK, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- NBA star Charles Barkley has signed on as guest host of the first 2010 edition of "Saturday Night Live" in New York, NBC said.

Singer Alicia Keys has been booked as the musical guest for the Jan. 9 episode, as well.

"Avatar" actress Sigourney Weaver is lined up to serve as host of the sketch comedy series Jan. 16 when the band The Ting Tings will perform, the network said Wednesday.
