LONDON, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- British rocker Ronnie Wood has been issued a warning for a domestic violence incident involving his ex-girlfriend in Surrey this month, officials said.
The Dec. 2 altercation between the 62-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist and his now former girlfriend, 21-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova, reportedly was called into police by someone who overheard it. However, the BBC said police declined to charge Wood in the incident.
"I am greatly relieved that this matter is resolved," Wood said in a statement issued to the British broadcaster on his behalf. "(I) look forward to 2010 very positively."
Wood's wife, Jo, divorced him last month after 24 years of marriage on the grounds of his admitted adultery.
He also sought treatment for alcohol addiction at a rehab facility last year.
