Recuperating Hallyday leaves hospital

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Johnny Hallyday's publicist says the French rocker has been discharged from the Los Angeles hospital where he underwent corrective surgery on his back.

The operation the 66-year-old musician had at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center reportedly was to repair damage allegedly caused by a poorly executed procedure he had for a slipped disc in Paris last month.

Contactmusic.com reported he was discharged from Cedars-Sinai Wednesday and is resting at his Los Angeles home.

Hallyday's representative told the music news Web site the rocker must continue receiving "indispensable medical treatment" until he has completely recovered.
