LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles judge granted pop star Justin Timberlake a permanent restraining order against an alleged stalker, officials said.
TMZ reported Karen McNeil was ordered Monday to stay 100 yards away from Timberlake, his home and his vehicle.
McNeil, who was arrested on the singer's property last month, reportedly was also instructed not to contact him directly or indirectly for the next three years.
The entertainment news Web site said Timberlake did not appear in court Monday, but his lawyer Marty Singer presented the judge with a written declaration from his 28-year-old client. Some of the recording artist's security guards also testified in the matter, as did McNeil, TMZ said.
E! News reported the affidavit Timberlake submitted described McNeil as an "obsessed and mentally unstable stalker" whom he "does not personally know or have any relationship with."
