Hough and Wicks split up

Country Music Television Music Awards in Nashville

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- U.S. country singers Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks have ended their relationship after dating for about a year, a source told People.com.

"This was mutual. They needed some time apart," the insider said.

The recording artists reportedly met while touring with country star Brad Paisley.

Hough, 21, is also a professional dancer who appeared on several seasons of "Dancing with the Stars."

Wicks, 30, is a correspondent for TV's "Entertainment Tonight."
