U.S. dance troupe to visit Israel

JERUSALEM, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- American choreographer Mark Morris and his dance troupe plan a series of six performances at the Tel Aviv Opera House, officials said.

The troupe collaborates with well known orchestras and musicians, including cellist Yo-Yo Ma, pianist Emanuel Ax and tabla player Zakir Hussain, Ynetnews.com said Monday.

The opening program, scheduled for Dec.29, is to include "Visitation" set to music by Beethoven, "All Fours" to music by Bartok and "V" to music by Schumann. Music by Mozart and the musical "Grand Duo" by Lour Rison is to be featured in the the second program, the Web site said.

Morris and his troupe last performed in Israel in 1996.
