"Each year we try to have a variety of artists and sounds and I think these performers really showcase the depth of what this show brings to its fans," American Music Awards producer Larry Klein said in a statement.

The artists are to join other previously announced acts including Lady Gaga, Eminem, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, the Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry and Adam Lambert.
