LONDON, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Elton John's spokesman said the British pop star has been discharged from the London hospital where he has been treated for the flu and E.coli infection.

Gary Farrow told the BBC Friday the 62-year-old entertainer and music icon is home, feeling fine and eager to rejoin U.S. rocker Billy Joel on their Face 2 Face concert tour.

John's illness forced him to cancel numerous shows in England, Ireland and the United States during the past two weeks.

Farrow said John intends to perform with Joel in California Nov. 14.
