

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Recording artists Eminem and Lady Gaga have been booked to perform at the upcoming 2009 American Music Awards show, ABC announced.
The event is to take place Nov. 22 at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. It is to air live on ABC.
Eminem and Lady Gaga will join other previously announced acts including Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, the Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry and Adam Lambert.
Additional performers and presenters are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, the network said.
"We are excited to have Eminem and Lady Gaga on the show this year," American Music Awards producer Larry Klein said in a statement. "You can never predict what surprises they have lined up, so these are sure to be unique and memorable performances."
