KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Bruce Springsteen said on his Web site he canceled Monday night's concert in Kansas City, Mo., because his cousin, Lenny Sullivan, has died.

E! News said Sullivan, 36, was a longtime assistant road manager for Springsteen's E Street Band. He reportedly was discovered dead in his Kansas City hotel room Monday.

Foul play is not suspected, but police are investigating the circumstances of his death, E! News said.

"A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family," said a message posted on the band's Web site.

"Bruce and the Band deeply appreciate the understanding of our Kansas City audience and look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity."
